About the Louisville Pipe Band
The Louisville Pipe Band is a competitive and performing Grade Four and Grade Five Pipe Band based in Louisville, Kentucky. Members are drawn from throughout the state and southern Indiana.
The band performs at corporate and community events, weddings and festivals. We march in several parades each year including the Louisville St. Patrick's Day Parade and Worldfest Celebration on the Belvedere.
We successfully compete in several Highland Games every year and our individual members are often found among those on the prize list.
Our accomplishments include:

Competing in the World Pipe Band Championships in Scotland

Participating in the 10,000 Piper Millennium Parade in Edinburgh

In 2007 our Grade IV band finished 1st at Kentucky Scottish Weekend and 3rd at the Glasgow, Kentucky Games. Our Grade V band finished 3rd at Kentucky Scottish Weekend and 1st at Glasgow, Kentucky.
The Louisville Pipe Band is a member in good standing of the Eastern United States Pipe Band Association, Ohio Valley Branch. The Band is a charitable non-profit corporation and is financially sustained by performance fees, private donations and corporate sponsorships to facilitate teaching programs and travel to competitions.
